AYAM LEMAK BERHIRIS!
Chicken cooked in coconut cream gravy.
Another simple dish I promise! :)
There are different variation of this
dish but this is the one I’m sharing today. On lazy days and when I’m rushing for
time, this is the to-go Malay dish.
Ingredients:
Red onion
Garlic
Ginger
Turmeric
Chilli – red, green, birds eye (basically
any chilli)
Lemon grass (remove the green section,
use only the bulb)
| slice all the ingredients |
Chicken (fry the chicken with turmeric powder and a bit of salt)
Oil (any oil but today I’m using
coconut oil)
Coconut cream and water (1:1)
Chicken cube / salt
How to:
Heat your pot with oil. Fry all the sliced ingredients. Once it changes colour and the fragrance filled your kitchen, pour in the chicken and put in chicken cube. stir together and pour in coconut cream and water and stir. Wait for it to boil and wala~
Your meal is ready to be served! Best served with plain white rice. Enjoy!
