#Savourydiary | Ketam Masak Lemak Chilli Api Hijau

Flower crab cooked in spicy coconut gravy paired with Sambal Sardine,

It is so sedap! I tambah 2 times!

Bought 4 flower crab from Sheng Siong and cost only $12.

YUMMMEH!!

What to do with the crab?

Remove the carapace (the shell of the crab)
Cut in half by the center and cut another half. Leaving 2/3 legs on each parts.
Remove the gills (the dirtiest part as it will be muddy)
Cut 1/2 of the leg removing 2 parts of it
Cut away all sharp edges so it is a fuss free meal.

Now, blend in oil some
Green bird's eye chilli
Shallots
Garlic
Tumeric
And fry till fragrant.
Add in smashed lemongrass and few pieces of lime leaves.
Pour in pieces of flower crab and coconut milk.
For flavor, 2 tsp of salt / Fish stock and 1 tsp of sugar.
Let your crab turn from blue to orangey-red and it's ready to be eaten!
