Savourydiary | Swedish Meat Ball

Savourydiary | Swedish Meat Ball

OM NOM NOM!

Savourydiary | Try Rock 'N' Peri

Tried the Rosemary Lambloin.
Serving is HUGE!
Well, compared to the typical western shop at a Kopi Tiam.

Nice serving for one.
Sure ain't enough for me.

The Lambloin is cooked medium-done.
Still juicy and fatty!
Om-nom-nom.

Was served in the hotplate.
Whereby the pepper sauce is still dancing on it.
The pepper sauce has flavor not just pepper I guess.
With bits of herbs?
But I'll prefer my sauce to be thicker?
But the taste is GOOD!

The veg is served partly boiled?
Best eaten with chilli sauce and the pepper sauce served.

Lots of ONIONS fo' sure!

We ordered our all time favourite, Grilled Unagi Don and a side of Miso soup.
Grilled Unagi Don is Grilled Eel in sweet sauce and Japanese sticky rice.

Savourydiary | Oyakodon

Along side with Oyakodon.
Basically, it is crispy fried chicken cutlet with scrambled egg cooked the Japanese way.
With their special sweet sauce and bonito flakes.
On the cucumber there is this reddish looking thing.
That is young ginger!
Its paired nicely with this dish.
Yummeh!
And this, is selling at SGD$9.90.
Savourdiary | The Ramen Stall Kimchi Chiken

And for myself!
I ordered one dish : Kimchi Chicken which is SGD$9.90 and a side of Japanese Plain Rice at SGD$1.50. My whole mean : SGD$11.40.
WORTH EVERY PENNY!
The Cabbage is crispy.
Cooked with diced chicken chunks ( i assume the same chicken for the crispy chicken cutlet, which is cut into smaller pieces)
It is almost like sweet&sour chicken.
But it is with Kimchi.

YUMMMEH!!

What to do with the crab?

Picture from http://web.vims.edu/adv/ed/crab/guts3.html

Remove the carapace (the shell of the crab)
Cut in half by the center and cut another half. Leaving 2/3 legs on each parts.
Remove the gills (the dirtiest part as it will be muddy)
Cut 1/2 of the leg removing 2 parts of it
Cut away all sharp edges so it is a fuss free meal.

Now, blend in oil some
Green bird's eye chilli
Shallots
Garlic
Tumeric
And fry till fragrant.
Add in smashed lemongrass and few pieces of lime leaves.
Pour in pieces of flower crab and coconut milk.

Savourydiary | Swedish Meatball

#Savourydiary | Swedish Meatball

Home made meatballs for today!

Bought 2 packs of frozen minced beef from Sheng Siong.
Added in
1 Minced onion
Bit of Parsley
1 Beef cube
1 Tbp of Black pepper
Breadcrumbs
1 Eggs
Ground nutmeg
Garlic Salt
1 Tbs of corn flour

Roll them into balls and this is ready to be fried in butter.
Let the meatball cooked in medium heat till one side is golden-brown before changing sides.
All cooked, remove meatballs from pan.

Aside, I've managed to boil some pasta to be eaten together with the meatballs.

In the same pan, add in butter or olive oil if needed.
Fry minced onion and garlic.
Add in some sliced mushroom.
Add in Heavy cream, beef cube or salt for taste.
If its too runny for your liking, add in mozzarella cheese.
What am I saying?
Just add in mozzarella.
Who doesn't love cheese aite?

And this, is ready to be eaten.
Pour some pasta on your plate together with the sauce and sprinkle some parsley.

Let me know what you think?
Is this nice?
Or nicer than the meatballs at I_EA?
To each it's own.

Happy Midweek people!
Enjoy this yet another simple meal!
